Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to store and/or access device information. Consenting to these technologies allows us to process data such as browsing behavior or unique IDs on the Site. Not consenting, or withdrawing consent, may adversely affect certain features and functions.
Our consent tool groups cookies into the following categories:
- Functional (always active) — necessary for the Site to work properly and to remember your consent choices. These cannot be switched off.
- Preferences — allow the Site to remember choices you make (such as region or display settings) to provide a more personalized experience.
- Statistics — help us understand how visitors interact with the Site by collecting and reporting information anonymously or pseudonymously.
- Marketing — used to track visitors across websites in order to display relevant advertising.
You can manage or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Manage Consent” option available on the Site, and you can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect how the Site functions.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, analytics, email delivery, and IT support. These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.
- Subcontractors and suppliers. With trusted subcontractors or suppliers when necessary to plan, estimate, or complete a project you have requested.
- Legal and safety reasons. When we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, or legal process; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Big Block Construction, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to maintain business records for our projects, and to comply with our legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides you with certain rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know / access — You may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to delete — You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to correct — You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing — We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of; however, you retain this right should our practices change.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — We do not collect or use sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger this right.
- Right to non-discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
How to exercise your rights. To submit a request, contact us at contact@bigblockconstruction.com or 909-980-1976. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
Shine the Light. California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code § 1798.83) permits California residents to request certain information about a business’s disclosure of personal information to third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
“Do Not Track” Signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT signals, the Site does not currently respond differently to them. You can still manage cookies as described above.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” above. Material changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
